Hello everyone,
Just want to thank everyone that has been walking with me in prayer this past month. Whether it was everyday or even just once, you’ve contributed to my life in one of the most uncertain periods of my life. Reason being, I’ve never been in a position where I had no direction. For 26 years I had lived for a cookie cutter one-way track to success that was drawn by our notion of this “American Dream”. After my one-year commitment to Fire & Fragrance, I had no idea where the Lord could take me. But by the power of prayer and God’s greater concern for my life than myself, I believe He’s given me the next step.
After much waiting, and praying, I’m stepping out in faith and believing the Lord has called me to serve the Nation of Haiti for this next season. Unless the Lord stops me, I’ll be there within 3 weeks. The duration of my stay will be at least one month, but could extend longer. The fine details of my departure will be worked out in the coming weeks and you all will be the first to be updated. In Haiti I will be primarily answering a call for the need of worship leaders & intercessors. My heart began to cry out and say “YES” when my dear friend asked me to partner with him to release the songs & prayers of Heaven over the Nation of Haiti. Just the thought of leading heart broken Haitians into the Presence of God made me weep. The vision of Fire & Fragrance will be walked out as we are battling spiritually through the power of prayer and worship; Missionaries battling with the Songs of the Lord just as David made the evil spirit’s flee over King Saul. (My friend coined the phrase: Musicianaries hahah) Sending money and humanitarian aid will meet needs of their flesh, but our God’s Love covers beyond the flesh but also their hearts & spirits. Food & Shelter will fade, but the love of God will remain forever. Other administrative and logistical needs will be met as well at the YWAM Haiti base that has been given a 6000-8000 capacity by the government for the refugees.
After my primary focus in Haiti, the future plan is to join the Worship/Recording Department at the largest YWAM base in Kona, Hawaii. There I will help lead worship for the YWAM campus, assist the 24/7 House of Prayer, help with studio recording, train in discipleship, and ultimately prepare myself to plant a community in the heart of Northern, Virginia. I believe the vision and needs the Lord has given me is a calling to bring revival into our own backyard. Though the goals are far off and vague, I know the Lord will fill in the blanks to unfold the destiny of our city. Only our faith and time will give us the perception to see His glorious plans.
Please walk with me in pray in the following ways:
This will be the beginning of a new journey in 2010, and I hope you all can walk with me again.
I will update you all as the process progresses!
Love you all more than you know,
Jasen Chung
Hello!
I hope everyone has been having a great kick off to the New Year, and finding themselves lost in the presence of our God. It’s been a beautiful month for me as I’ve been praying, meeting friends, and ministering wherever God has led. It’s been amazing to share the power of God through our team’s testimonies, igniting others to walk in the same authority. This past weekend, I had the honor to speak at my home college ministry at James Madison University. I went down to share a testimony of my life, ultimately testifying of our need of prayer to tap into God’s presence. The outcome of what God did was above and beyond any expectation, or ideal situation I could have ever imagined. To those that interceded for me, I can’t thank you enough of the spiritual labor you all put in. As I preached on the need for prayer, I literally saw the fruit of your prayers manifest right before my eyes. After I spoke, God manifested His power as we burned like a furnace in prayer for two hours! (2 hours of prayer after a one hour message on a Friday Night for college students is a pretty big deal hahah ) And this was the students praying on their own! One of the spiritual mothers of the ministry stated that such a response hadn’t been seen in 4-5 years for some students. A key breakthrough that was testified for the group was the fear of man that broke off the ministry as a whole that led them to respond and pray beyond the normal framework. Individually, students received inner healing and physical healing. Deep insecurities that were strongholds were being brought to light so that God could fill them. We witnessed the Lord heal back pain, neck pain, sore joints in the fingers, and shoulders. Ultimately, through the power of prayer, we preached the gospel and signs and wonders followed. Thank you so much again for walking with me to declare to our dear family at JMU the power of His presence! I just know the Lord is going to do a mighty work on that campus, and it was such an honor to be a small part of God’s dreams for JMU.
As you know, I’ve been praying and waiting for an answer from the Lord of where to go next. Since the beginning of my stay home, I set myself a date to pray and wait till the 31st of January… and it’s right around the corner. I’ve received some prophetic dreams and words from friends, but I have not received a clear word yet. The only thing clear is that I know that I must leave, in order to come back, and build the ministry on my heart for this area. I believe the Lord wants to walk me through more training in order to be a part of bringing revival to Northern Virginia. I believe God has a crucial plan for this well churched area, beyond the four walls of the church and just good, comfortable, principles for living in suburbia. Please walk with me in prayer for this final week of waiting on the Lord. I just know God will be faithful and reveal Himself to me. If you have ANY words from the Lord, please email them to me at anytime.
Please walk with me in prayer in the following ways:
Lastly, this Friday (January 29th @ 7:30) I’ll be leading worship for a Renewal Gathering at Korean Presbyterian Church of Rockville in Maryland. Please cover me in prayer. We have high expectations for God to just manifest Himself and reveal His Love and Glory to those who wait for Him.
Never hesitate to send your prayer requests, I’m only an email or text message away.
Love you all more than you know,
Jasen
**HAITI UPDATE***
I bumped this post up back to the top so that we don’t let our donations, or one or two prayers for Haiti substitute for continual prayer for this Nation. Please keep this nation in prayer. I’ve also added a video of two dear brothers of mine from the YWAM base who have been called to help Haiti out right away. They left this morning for the Dominican Republic to enter in by land. Please watch their video for info on how you can help them financially.
*************************************************************************************************
As you know, on January 12th, 2010, the Nation of Haiti was hit with an enormous, heart-shattering earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2. Just ten miles outside of it’s capitol, this underdeveloped nation was flattened instantly, leaving about THREE MILLION people helpless. A staggering ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND people are reported dead, with the number quickly rising with estimates as high as FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND. When the reality of such numbers are so staggering, there is no need for words to be architected to bring guilt and anguish upon the human heart. I am partnering with One Days Wages to donate to our Earths most devastating need at this time. When the spirit of death hits a nation, leaving a potential 500,000 dead, our authority as the Body of Christ is to wage war and declare life through fervent prayer for Haiti, and to give to the needy.
Please find more information by clicking the icon below, and please give not only through donations, but through the Power of Prayer. May we never forget that even battles such as these are spiritual battles, and not against flesh and blood.
DO SOMETHING NOW – it takes two minutes to donate, and only one weeks worth of Starbucks to change a life forever.
Love you all more than you know,
Jasen
Yes, another update,…but rightfully so, I write this urgent message because of my heart for you all. As you know, as my “job” at home has been to pray and warfare in the spirit. With that being my primary objective, it’s been impossible to not run into spiritual battles that are right in our own country. From unrighteous legislation, to our skewed views of liberty, the manifestations of principalities attacking our super country are chronically blurred compared to the bold attacks of starvation, poverty, & disease. In our luxurious country, I believe riches, comforts and our skewed view of freedom blind our spiritual depravity. In a place where death from diarrhea is ludicrous (as opposed to it being an epidemic in Africa), we face much darker and more camouflaged forces of darkness, principalities, and authorities. Unbeknownst to many, the Spirit of Death is camouflaged and dancing as a free, rightful, and individual choice in our country. Its manifestation is thrown around in people’s faces as a “free pass” card to clean up mistakes. In our country, the Spirit of Death manifests itself as Abortion.
With that said, I write this letter to call everyone to watch this video displaying the horrendous injustice happening in our own country – and PRAY.
****(my personal beliefs are more geared toward the emphasis of the terror of ABORTION and the PROFIT agenda, NOT the perception of the racist agenda, which may or may not be the case)
Paul states in Ephesians 6:12 - “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
So I pray that you all exercise the authority to embarrass the demonic principalities in the spirit realm through Prayer. The stench of death is right under our country’s nose, and it’s time to use our greatest weapon in this good fight. Faith is our Shield of Defense (Ephesians 6), and Praying the Word is our Weapon of Offense – let’s use it.
Our silence in the spirit realm is consent to the Spirit of Death, so may the prayers of the saints consume the heavens as we call upon the name of the Lord.
Love you guys more than you know,
Jasen
P.S.
An estimated 5,000+ are expected to join this silent siege, and numbers are quickly rising. Though we may not be there physically, let us be with them in the spirit. Here is more information on it below:

Happy 2010!
I hope everyone’s had a great Christmas and New Years! My time at home thus far has been refreshing as God has been doing a deep work in me. As you know, my time home till the 31st of January will be to pray until the Lord gives me a clear word of direction of where to go next. Daily I’ve been praying, interceding, and reading the word to continue a lifestyle of burning for the Lord. I must admit, without my beautiful outreach family running with me, its’ been a little hard. But, it’s made me realize how important a single focused community, centered around the presence of God is. With this, I’m seeing the need for such a community in our hometown in Northern Virginia. The DNA our Fire & Fragrance School had ingrained into us was tested, tried, and approved by the success the Lord walked us through on our Ivy League outreach. Slowly, God has been giving me a heart for Northern Virginia like I’ve never had before. Through prayer, I’m starting to feel the Lord gear me to voice the need for revival and reformation in our comfortable suburban area. Being born, raised, and fully bred with the culture of the American Dream in Northern Virginia, I know God pulled me out of that track of life for more than just a “nice experience”. Northern Virginia is just as much a missions field as anywhere else, and in desperate need. All in all, I know sometime in the future, the Lord will call me back home to be part of the work He already has planned for Northern, VA. God will call many others through prayer to the same call, for God desires revival for every nation, tribe, and tongue.
It’s been a little over two weeks since I’ve been home, and through prayer, opportunities have been opened to me for my future. I ask that you please walk with me in prayer through the following options that have been open to me thus far:
If you have any word from the Lord or unction about any of the opportunities, PLEASE feel free to let me know anytime! Thank you so much for all those walking with me through prayer & financially. You all have contributed to the most life changing and unforgettable year of my life yet. This was all due to your prayers and I pray that the Lord blesses you in double portions for the seeds you have sown in the spirit. If there is anyone who would like me to come and share my testimony, please contact me at anytime -I would love to share about the work God did through us.
Bless you all, and have a great New Years!

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and has been taking care! Sorry for such a delay, I had a horrible mishap and spilled good ol’ Sprite on my laptop. By the grace of God, this laptop is still running (for now), with sticky keys of course. Regardless, since I began writing this letter, it’s very bittersweet to say that we’ve come to an end with our outreach. After our encounter @ Montclair State University religions class, God continued to use us in the community surrounding the Resting Place House of Prayer. We poured into the churches as God continued to heal and deliver and once again was graced to witness denomination lines dissolve on campuses. All in all, our time in NJ was a testimony that God is on the move and pouring out His blueprints for a spotless Bride for His Son.
We next traveled to our last outreach location in Washington D.C. For 3 days we ran with the Justice House of Prayer & YWAM base to pray for the health care battle in the Senate. It was such an honor to war in the spirit with the prayer warriors of D.C. Right in our own backyard are intercessors and missionaries that pray for our nations capitol everyday for God to bring His righteousness to our country. Testimony after testimony they shared of God shifting votes on abortion, righteous legislation, and justice issues that have come across the tables of our Supreme Court justices & government officials. That very weekend, we had the honor to rumble in the spirit with Lou Engle & Senator Brownback of Kansas. It was so reassuring to hear from one of our own senators that there are righteous men in our Senate and Congress warring in the spirit through prayer as well. They as Christians know that government is a spiritual battle and not mere votes & people pleasing policies. News was passed to us that congressman & woman from the House have been holding prayer meetings for the Senate that become so packed, it becomes a stand only room. Though the battle is still on, we are not alone in our prayers. In D.C. we also went to the Supreme Court and had a LIFE siege praying for the ending of abortion. It was overwhelming to stand at the steps of the very establishment that determines life or death upon this great nation. Right now, the health bill is on the fringes of life or death depending on issues such as abortion. Through it all, it was awesome to know that this spiritual battle we war in not only affects the people on the streets, but shift governments and our children’s futures. Our nation at face value may seem as though the standard of justice & righteousness is crumbling, but behind the scenes there are the few that are holding the lines in prayer. Sodom and Gomorrah wasn’t destroyed because their sin was too heinous nor unredeemable, rather it was because there weren’t enough righteous ones. From where we were standing in D.C., there are righteous ones that have dedicated their lives for this once fiercely God fearing nation.
With our last week of outreach, we flew to Kansas City to join in on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is going on at the International House of Prayer. For a whole month, God has been pouring out His spirit in a mighty way. People have been getting delivered, healed and saved every single day at this house of prayer. Testimonies from all over the world are pouring in as they have been watching the live web stream (www.ihop.org) As we went to debrief, we prayed, soaked in the presence of God, and praised the Lord for all that He’s done through us on this outreach. From sparking future revivalists burn and take control of Yale Campus (Testimonies are still coming in about their forward movement), the salvations & healings we’ve witnessed on the streets, The power of God showing up in Salem, Massachusetts’ Haunted Happenings, Taking part and witnessing prayer push back the unrighteous attempt of marriage in Maine, and preaching the gospel and healing the sick in front of a secular religions class @ MSU, it has all been glory to the Lord. And through all these testimonies, you have all been lifted up in prayer to our Lord by our team in thanksgiving for the labor you all have done in prayer. It is not because we are special, nor bolder than others, but rather God’s positioned us to receive the faith He so freely gives. In Ephesians 2, God says we have no reason to boast because even the faith in our God is given by Himself. I hope that our short outreach of three months was a spectacle of the Kingdom of God in each and every one of us. The healings and salvations we encountered was a small taste of the fullness of God in us when we put faith in our ever giving God, to receive even larger faith in the “greater works than these” Jesus said we’d do. In Luke 17:6, Jesus said that “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you”. From all of our experiences on this outreach, I can surely say that just having faith that God will give us more faith in any situation is small as a mustard seed.
I’m home now, and I’ve given myself till January 31st, to fast, pray, and be with my family till I hear from the Lord where He wants me to go. I ask that you please cover me in the spirit through prayer. The Fire & Fragrance School is now preparing to equip the second generation of students, and it’s truly been an honor to be part of the first fruits of God’s mighty plan for marrying the prayer & missions movement. I hope that you all receive the crown of praise, when I speak on behalf of my school that we are honored to have run with a group like you all for this school’s first year. I never knew that leaving my Job, family, and friends, would encompass the path of testimonies He’s led me through. When I wrote my first letter, Matthew 13:44 – The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. 2009 will always be a marker in my life that this verse is more real than life itself, because the Kingdom of Heaven is what I found. As I stay home, I’ll be spending time with friends, family and sharing my testimony wherever the Lord leads. I’ll be continuing to keep this blog open and my heart open to the voice of the Lord.
I hope to see you all soon!
Love you all more than you know,
Jasen
In all my life, I can confidently say that 2009 has been the most incredible, life changing, and dramatic year of my life. Giving up my life in Northern Virginia to find God in His fullness is something I’d do all over again. And I give all my thanks to my God above, and all of you all. It is because of the strength of your prayers that have kept me going this whole year. So I want to thank you for the calls, the messages, and the plowing we’ve done together in the spirit. I know there are some of you who have prayed for our team and myself, and I may not even know it, so I thank all of you as well.
Every testimony of healing, signs, miracles and salvations has been due to the prayers of your hearts.
Psalms 100
A Psalm for giving thanks.
1 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
3Know that the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Just last weekend we left the beautiful state of Maine and traveled south just outside the Big Apple of America: New York City. Now located in Wycoff, NJ, we’ve teamed up with a great community surrounding the Resting Place House of Prayer. Our stay here has been an overflow of blessings as God has been showing favor again and again through divine appointments with God’s beautiful people. With only three weeks left in our outreach, our team has been becoming weary. 10 weeks of constant ministry, travel and wishy-washy schedules can take its toll. Through it all, one of the most important lessons we’ve learned is that principles won’t sustain you, but only God’s presence. So as our week began here in NJ, we appropriately soaked in God’s presence with the house of prayer in intercession & worship for the region. Though the team has been weary, little did we know that God had been preparing an unprecedented path of testimony & power for our team.
The following day, we were invited to a quaint religious discussion with some students at Montclair State University. It was a very informal weekly meeting run by a religions class teacher, where students of all faiths met to discuss topics freely. Coincidently (some would say divinely), this weeks topic was on Mysticism –
Mysticism (def) – belief in the possibility of attaining, insight into mysteries transcending ordinary human knowledge, as by direct communication with the divine or immediate intuition in a state of spiritual ecstasy.
We found it interesting, that the very crux of our daily objectives in God was being discussed freely as some untouchable realm. With our trip thus far being filled with the supernatural power of God, it was as if God was giving us an opportunity to herald testimonies of the coincidental topic touching our foundations. So in a room with our crew of Jesus Freaks, Catholics, Muslims & Others, the discussion became a free for all of our team shifting paradigms of what normal life is – Heaven coming down to Earth. But as Paul states in 1st Corinthians 2:
4and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God
It so happened that the religions class teacher had a horrible knee and came in with crutches. With faith in the Word of God spoken through the Apostle Paul, we not only spoke about God’s Kingdom, but also demonstrated His power by praying for her. She said that the pain was subsiding, but we told her to walk without her crutches in faith for full healing. While walking slowly, she looked toward us in disbelief as she began to tear and confirm that God had just instantly healed her knee and that all pain was gone. But God’s plan wasn’t over – after our divine encounter, the religion teacher was so impacted, she invited our whole team to her 6:30 class of 100 students to share what we were doing as missionaries! God was expanding our audience! The very significance of this opportunity was surreal as the team realized that this very situation that was about to take place was prophesied over our team: That we would enter into classrooms to preach the gospel and reveal God’s power. We said goodbye to our newly healed sister in Christ as she walked away with her crutches over her shoulders.
When 6:30 came around, we rolled back unto the Montclair State University campus still in disbelief and inexpressible anticipation to what God was doing. We didn’t know how it would all go down in the Q&A, but we knew one thing for certain – Jesus was going to show up. As eight of us walked in, 100 pairs of curious eyes began to blanket over us. The teacher introduced us right away and we began to share about what we were doing in the North East. As we began to preach the gospel through personal testimonies and the power of God that we’ve seen during this outreach, we had only one task left – Demonstrate the Power of God. In front of the whole class, we asked if anyone needed healing, because Jesus wanted to shower His love. Then one student sheepishly raised his hand and said he was suffering from a chronic ankle injury that was always in pain. As the student got up from his seat, he was an obvious athlete towering at 6 foot 9 inches. I found it hilarious that God was going to use this influential student that definitely was someone that didn’t go unnoticed. With him towering over us, all eight of us bent down and touched his ankle and began to pray in the spirit and command healing to his ankle. The atmosphere of the room became tense with hints of disbelief as small talk began to rise in the background. The teacher silenced them, and the room became quiet with only our prayers resonating in the room. We told him to check it out, and test it out in faith. Instantly he began shouting “WOWWWWWWWWWW” over and over again as God healed him 100% in front of the whole class – no more chronic ankle pains. Jesus walked in the classroom and it was show time. Once he got healed, the class became ministry time as 20-30 students came down for healing and to ask questions. Every single individual who had come down for healing got healed – every single one of them 100%. Many were prophesied over as God started to drop bombs of prophetic words about family problems, shame, depression and destinies. Everyone was preached the gospel as they witnessed the death of religion and the power of relationship with Jesus. Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and Agnostics were all in the classroom, and they all witnessed the power of the one true God. Four people we know were led to the Lord and we know that large seeds of power were planted in every single heart that day. The class ended in ministry and God’s promises’ manifested just as it says in Mark 16:
17And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
One Jewish student during the Q&A session asked “so then what do you think about other religions?” – I answered that we believe that Jesus is the way the truth and the life, and that those who search for TRUTH to a point that they are willing to find out if they are wrong … like us … have found Jesus as the one true Living and Active God – because no God is true, unless reality plays out in life just as God claims so in His Word. After God demonstrated His presence and power to the classroom, just as His Word clearly states, I hope one day to ask him the same:
“So… now, what do you think about the other religions?”
What happened at Montclair State University, is the foretaste of God’s children coming to the revelation of Heaven on Earth. God has called us to go to the highest places of people, spheres, and institutions to herald and demonstrate the Glory & Power of our God. Jesus is no longer letting His name be tied to dead religiosity, but a powerful relationship that manifests His nature according to His word.
In Romans 8 – it says that the Spirit of God that raised Christ from the dead is in us; the same spirit that gave our team the authority to walk and heal a classroom; the same spirit … that lives inside of you all ………. or desires to.
Love you all more than you know,
Jasen
This is a very recent testimony of a Planned Parenthood director who had the stark revelation of God’s mandate of life. PRAYER has ripped the veil covering the eyes of those who support abortion. Much like Saul on the road to Damascus, Abby Johnson encountered the truth, and for someone who once was against the Life of God’s children, is for it in full force.

Planned Parenthood Clinic Director Joins Anti-Abortion Group: Abby Johnson Says ‘Change of Heart’ Caused Her to Join Coalition for Life
Abby Johnson quit her job. That simple act has become a national news story because Johnson, 29, was the director of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas who said she experienced a “change of heart” while participating in an abortion procedure.

Johnson has now joined a group called Coalition for Life, which prays outside the clinic where she worked.
“I had never seen an abortion happen on an ultrasound,” she said. “My job during the procedure was to hold the probe on the woman’s abdomen. I could see the whole profile of the baby 13 weeks head to foot. I could see the whole side profile. I could see the probe. I could see the baby try to move away from the probe.”
Johnson worked at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Bryan, Texas, for nine years, first as a volunteer and then as the director. Her duties included running the family planning and abortion programs. The clinic performed abortions two days a month.
Although she had seen ultrasounds before, including during her own pregnancy, Johnson said she had never seen an ultrasound image during an abortion. She is unclear why, as the director of the clinic, she was asked to be in the procedure room on that day, because it was not a normal part of her duties. Still, Johnson said, the experience changed her forever.
“I just thought, ‘What am I doing?’” she said. “And then I thought, ‘Never again.’”
Two weeks later, Johnson quit.
“I looked out the window and saw a couple of women praying and I thought, ‘That’s where I need to go,’” Johnson said.

She walked down the street and into the welcoming arms of the Coalition for Life.
Although she had originally been happy at her job, Johnson slowly grew to question “the motives of the organization,” she said, particularly because her superiors were “pushing clinics that did have an abortion program to bring in more money“

This is a testimony of God’s power in us when we intercede and co-labor in the spiritual realms as He’s called us to. The power in us moves demons & angels as we sow into the spiritual realms, warring, and interceding through PRAYER. Paul states that “For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God“, and our inheritance as God’s Children manifests when we co-labor with our Greatest Intercessor Jesus. God has given us the power to fight principalities, and He longs for His children to join what’s on His heart daily. The fight for LIFE, is just one of the many things on His heart.
May we all anguish with Him, and fight the good fight to tear the veil over our nations eyes. The power of prayer with Jesus in us is endless and conquers death, so may we wield our swords of prayer in confidence. If slavery can be abolished, so can abortion.
